A Collection of a First Gen’s Experiences in America
As a daughter of two Taiwanese immigrants, I have experienced the unfortunate discrimination that people of color face in America. My Taiwanese roots have greatly influenced my perspective of America.
After travelling and visiting other countries in Asia and Europe, I had an eye-opening realization that racism exists not just in America, but also throughout the world. There is still so much that we have to do to educate ourselves about different cultures, different religions, and different skin colors.
This series of posts shares my experiences as a first gen growing up and living in America.
